Awh May 2nd, the sun is up and shining brightly. The temperature is rising. A great day to get outside and  do more yard work. The animals are all running about. Thinking about walking them to the pasture and let them romp around up there. I know its still wet up there but  theres lots of dead stuff to climb on and trees that can be eaten.

For some reason Onyx is blatten terribly, he must of lost his momma some where. LOL

 

I have the cookies all done and cinnamon rolls will be rising shortly, had to get it warmer in here so they would rise. Time to let Dot and  Lucy and Knickers out also. wish the paddock was dryer I could  them back in there. But dont need Knickers slipping and falling out there.

 

Going to be rainy most of the week so today is going to be an outside day. Hoping the lady who wants Andy and Deanna calls soon about picking them up today. Funny to watch Molly run up the driveway , she is due shortly . She looks like she has two suitcases on her sides. Twins I am betting at least.

 

Been rethinking our goat herd and the cost of raising everyone. Its terrible to think I cant keep them all and some of them cant be pets they have to be either food or leave.

I cant grow enough of the grain to feed them , and have to buy so much, it doest make sense on the pocketbook. Reality of the  facts of life. Some choices in farm life are hard.

 

Starting my seeds today or this week also. We might be able to plant by Memorial Day if we are lucky. Looking for more garden space in my area. Need to plant more this year  than ever before. Going to being doing alot of raised beds and container planting. Everyone can grow something to help out the food budget, even if it lettuce in a flower box to herbs and hanging cucumber and tomatoes plants. Something.

 

Well I guess its time to go outside and play with the goats and sheep, and let Dot and Lucy out.
