What a beautiful spring day. We had 90 yesterday and 80 today, how can ya beat it. The farm is busy spruce up things for the summer. Cob webs hosed down and buildings removed. Now lots of things to take care of. The animals are all loosing their winter coats and sprawling out daily in the sunshine. We now have new rabbits this yr so maybe we will be have some bunnies for sale. We lost our milk cow on March 22, not sure why but it was very sad around here for along time. Dot is greatly missed. We were waiting for her to calf so we could start milking her again. Now we wait for Lucy instead. By the looks the goats are going to take their sweet time, now wondering if Mack actually did his job or not. I have been planting alot of seeds to get seedlings growing to put in the ground when the ground is warm enough.. We were very blessed to have an easy winter and this time last year we still had snow. Grass is starting to green up and things are looking alive. The farm again has farm fresh eggs for sale for 2.50-3..00 a dozen, difference in price is because of banty eggs compare to eggnormus eggs to big for any carton. LOL I was bought an incubator the other day by my family. My first attempt at trying to hatch out my own chicks. New things on the farm this summer will be fresh cut flowers, I have started planting lots of different type to give a choice of color and variety. Lots of different things to explore this year, Out with old things that dont work,, in with new things this year.. Heres hoping for an awesome summer God Bless Ledge Hill Farm |
